Hurghada is a lively coastal city and whilst it has no historical sites it is well worth a visit to experience Egyptian life – albeit transformed by tourism over the last 30 years. Let us show you around our city in the company of our Egyptian guide who will explain the everyday life and customs of his people.

Above you’ll see the recently completed El Mina Mosque and the beautiful new Coptic Church. You can go inside both, take pictures and compare the diferent styles of architecture & décor favoured by Egypt’s two main religions. There are several other beautiful mosques in Hurghada.

Hurghada is renowned for its shopping – leather goods, jewellery, spices, souvenirs, Whatever you’re looking for you’ll find in the narrow bazaar lined streets and the souks. Visit the old fish market & see the old boat building yard next door. El Mamsha, a 3km palm lined boulevard, is lined with shops, cafes and, inevitably, a McDonalds and Hard Rock Café!

Hurghada’s New Marina is also on our tour. Here you’ll find upmarket bars & restaurants alongside a harbour filled with expensive yachts. The Marina is quiet during the day but comes alive in the evening as both locals and tourists fill the bars and cafes.

There will be an opportunity during your tour to stop for a fresh fruit juice and a light lunch. Try the local sugar cane juice or perhaps traditional Egyptian food such as falafel!

The timng of your tour is entirely up to you…it would typically take 2 – 4 hours. The cost is 5GBP per hour plus the return taxi fare from your accomodation. A wonderful, and inexpensive, way to explore the City of Hurghada!
